Position Summary
  • The Senior Data Analyst, Operations is responsible for collaborating with different business stakeholders to ensure the data and reporting needs of the Operations Center are being met.
  • This position, in collaboration with leadership, will be responsible for identifying data driven insights for change developing and reporting of KPIs to stakeholders to assist with the data storytelling to further advance performance improvements to build capacity at VH. This includes working with a variety of data sources, extracting knowledge and providing actionable information.
  • Using various statistical and analytical tools and skills, this position will also support and lead projects and programs related to operational efficiencies, forecasting and scenario planning.
  • This role will involve collaborations with Information Services and multiple departments across the system and may engage with non-ECU Health entities to support relationships with referring entities. Additionally, this position will be a member of the Health System's Analytic Community of Practice.

Responsibilities
  • Interact with multiple teams across the organization in order to have a deep understanding of Operations.
  • Perform data management functions using Structured Query Language (SQL) from health care provider databases.
  • Prepares reports in Tableau, Epic Cogito or other reporting tools using technical, statistical and descriptive techniques.
  • Improve existing programs and support the creation of new programs through persuasive narrative and project work related to operational imperatives and functions.
  • Address the strategic issues specially related to operational performance across the system.
  • Advises leadership of strategic planning initiatives for the division.
  • Creates and facilitates regular reporting of Operational KPIs to stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required- or higher
  • 2-3 years of experience required in hospital setting in administrative support capacity
  • 2-3 years minimum experience with SQL
