Sr. DevOps Engineer - Chipotle - Information Technology (IT)

The Sr. DevOps Engineer will apply advanced automation skills in establishing and maintaining a continuous integration and continuous deployment environment in a mixed on-premises and cloud environment. The position will help lead the enhancement of the release, build, integration, and deployment processes of internally developed software. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Chipotle policies, practices, and procedures.

Main Accountabilities:

• Help lead and develop the CI/CD environment including timely upgrades to source control systems.
• Build and maintain the CI/CD pipelines of our custom software.
• Help lead and develop the CI/CD tools.
• Continuously improve the automation scripts.
• Manage and support QA and pre-prod environments in conjunction with the COTS release management group.
• Direct release deployment activities between multiple teams.
• Manage relationships between Development, Test, Ops, and the PMO daily.
• Working with developers to implement standardized builds and releases.
• Implement infrastructure as code including automated creation, settings, and spin down.

Education/Training:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. 5-10 years of experience.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Experience creating CI/CD pipelines using modern technologies
• Strong scripting skills required
• Azure DevOps (or other CI/CD system)
• PowerShell
• Terraform
• Helm Charts
• Kubernetes
• Docker
• Ability to effectively interact with different business units to gather requirements/feedback
• Ability to write technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications
• Ability to investigate and analyze information, and to draw conclusions
• Ability to learn and support new systems and applications
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work well on a team

Ability to work independently and produce required results without close supervision
Required Skills : Azure DevOps, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and Windows PowerShell. Candidate MUST come from a Developer background, not a Infrastructure or Sys Admin role.
Basic Qualification : Candidate MUST come from a Developer background, not a Infrastructure or Sys Admin role, and be specialized in the Azure Cloud space.
