Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Operations to join our team. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with extensive expertise in control systems operations, including Energy Management Systems (EMS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and power systems. The Senior Director of Operations will work closely with the Vice President of Operations to ensure the seamless functioning of our energy and control room operations, driving technological advancements and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee real-time energy and control room operations for all company and client assets, including grids, micro-grids, renewable energy sources, distributed energy resources (DER), and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
Ensure 24/7 operational readiness for all control technology assets and Bulk Electric System (BES) Cyber Systems.
Maintain compliance with Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) and North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards, including staff certification and training.
Implement and manage a comprehensive cyber security program across the enterprise.
Engage with federal and state regulatory programs, meetings, and venues.
Provide technical leadership on new and emerging technologies and regulations.
Manage the Cyber Security Security Operations Center (SOC) operations and support services teams.
Drive company-wide improvements by modeling and automating business processes, boosting productivity, and reducing costs.
Enhance revenue through scalable performance analytics, advanced optimization techniques, and machine learning.
Deploy and integrate enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Represent the company in industry forums and regulatory venues.

The compensations for this role varies on the years of relevant experience and education level. The range is from $170,-210,000/year

Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in control systems operations, including EMS, SCADA, and power systems.
Proven track record of managing large-scale technology projects and budgets.
Strong understanding of cyber security principles and compliance standards (CIP, NERC).
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with executive management and cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred Certifications:
Relevant industry certifications in cyber security and control systems.
