The Workforce Delivery Team within Enterprise Cloud is a dynamic group of engineers committed to developing and maintaining efficient and resilient software that serves the evolving needs of our users. In this role you will help drive a data driven culture, work with as-is interim strategies and combine fragmented processes and data from multiple sources to build automated solutions. You will be a part of an engineering team that supports the technology work for the TBM business pillar teams. Your focus will be on getting results quickly, building partnerships across the business, product and engineering groups and building capabilities that improve colleague productivity and enable business teams to execute their strategies more quickly. Here's just some of what you'll be doing in the role:

  • Leading all aspects of the design, implementation, and maintenance of software in an agile environment.
  • Partnering with product teams in building and delivering high value products, iterating on ideas, and continuing to innovate and incubate.
  • Leading robotic process automation efforts to create efficient and scalable solutions.
  • Providing technical guidance to other software engineers at all levels.
  • Staying current with new technology determining viability and applicability to American Express' business and technical environments.


Education & Experience:

  • 5+ years of agile development experience with multiple full cycle implementations from requirement to production.
  • 5+ years of experience with the following programming languages: Python, Java, C#
  • 2+ years robotic process automation experience with ACE Studio and robot framework.
  • Keeps up-to-date on current research and technology in the industry.
  • Debugs software components, identifies fixes, and verifies remediation of defects.
  • Experience with all of the following: machine learning, recommendation systems, natural language processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, OCR, bots, and artificial intelligence
  • Experience in building highly scalable distributed systems
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to document technical content
  • Performs hands-on architecture, design, and development of systems.
  • Typically spends 70%+ of time building, designing and testing, and remainder of time collaborating with stakeholders through ongoing product/platform releases.
  • Identifies novel approaches for completing work assignments more effectively or efficiently and works within the "established" system to push for "a better way."
  • Seeks continuous improvement by considering solutions that make novel use of existing ideas, approaches, technologies or products.
  • Identifies new ways to do things differently that will continuously improve the product.
  • Assesses information from different angles and various sources to discover the root cause of the issue.
  • One or more cloud certifications and experience a plus

Qualifications

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
