The Senior Engineer, Test Systems Engineering is responsible for the day to day operational status and upkeep of multiple F135 related test stands at Tinker Air Force Base.

The Senior Engineer works closely with equipment suppliers, Collins Aftermarket organization and maintenance technicians, providing on-site technical support for specialized aircraft component test equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support the goal of 85% availability of all equipment.
  • Provide expertise for Statements of Work when procuring new equipment.
  • Provide input regarding spares/alternates for sustainment.
  • Assist in the diagnosis and repair of tooling and test equipment.
  • Provides technical expertise in specialized test equipment and tooling.
  • Author and maintain Facility Requirements Documentation.
  • Resolve issues during calibration/maintenance and ensure documentation is updated.
  • Collaborate with Facility/Engineering at the customer site.
  • Collaborate during new equipment activation and installation.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Calibration of electromechanical systems experience
  • Military programs experience
  • Data Acquisition Systems experience
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action experience


The Ground Support Equipment Sustainment group works out of the Collins Aerospace F135 office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma which is a part of a cross functional team, including quality, program management and contracts supporting the component Repair Dept. The Ground Support Equipment Sustainment group teams with existing F135 Program/Aftermarket/Engineering teams along with Depot and Field site representatives to provide the end customer with exceptional support in operating, maintaining, and sustaining the F135 fleet.
