JOB DESCRIPTION
This position's responsibility is to oversee the accounting for all IT-related capital and operating expenditures, ensuring proper accounting for such costs and providing Finance and IT leaders with corresponding analysis in order to manage key initiatives.

• Oversee the accounting for all IT contracts and ensure timely submission of vendor invoice submissions/accruals based upon contractual terms and ongoing project activity.
• Responsible for the accurate accounting for transactions including capital vs. operating expense, balance sheet classification (cloud-based assets vs. on-premise assets), timing of expense recognition and timing of when internally developed IT software is put in production.
• Review and analyze time submissions for IT resources into ServiceNow and ensure completeness and accuracy of such submissions, assess the accounting for such time (e.g. capital versus operating expense) and analyze any variances versus historical and forecasted data.
• Responsible for the monthly close of IT costs and all fixed assets including reconciliation of GL data to IT project sub-systems, maintaining of accurate sub-ledger system detail and reconciliation of fixed asset subledger to GL.
• Perform monthly analysis of IT operating and capital expenditures, providing an analysis of variances to budgets/forecasts and historical results for both Accounting and IT leaders as well as providing an analysis on the impact of future spend.
• Work closely with IT leadership to provide and review key inputs for IT spend to be incorporated into the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• BS/BA Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred.
• 5+ years of financial or accounting analyst experience
• Prior experience in general ledger and financial reporting tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
• Superior oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented individual with excellent work/time organizational skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred.
• A team player with initiative and self-motivation; must be able to follow written and verbal instructions as well as interpret written policies; must be flexible to accept frequent change in priorities and possess the ability to coordinate tasks under critical time demands.
• This position will be a hybrid role and requires at least 3 days in-office per week
