Senior Full-Stack Web Developer - Data Governance and API Integration

Within this innovative landscape, our Data Governance group plays a crucial role. We're tasked with the development and maintenance of systems designed to uphold our stringent standards for user privacy, security, and regulatory compliance regarding data handling.
In this pivotal role, you will act as a bridge, connecting technological excellence with our core values of data integrity. You'll work alongside our data engineering teams, as well as our privacy and legal advisors, to ensure our data management practices are beyond reproach. Your responsibilities will not only involve hands-on software development but also strategic involvement in the lifecycle management of data, from creation to archival.
Your expertise in both front-end and back-end development, combined with a deep understanding of API services and data pipelines, will be instrumental in building solutions that enable us to manage our data governance objectives effectively. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the way we protect and leverage data, ensuring Apple's leadership in privacy, security, and compliance standards.
Key Qualifications
Profound expertise in full-stack web development, with 5 years' experience crafting web applications using TypeScript or JavaScript, complemented by contemporary libraries and frameworks.
Extensive experience in backend API development and management, with 5 years' experience in languages such as Java, Scala, Ruby, or Go.
Demonstrated expertise in data engineering, including designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions (SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehouses).
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) for development, testing, and deployment of applications.
Deep understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data security principles, with experience in implementing solutions that comply with data privacy laws and regulations.
Proficient in software development best practices, including version control with Git, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
