Position Summary

The PC Support/Network Technician is responsible for set up, maintenance, and support of desktop and laptop computers within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide customer support and troubleshoot information technology related issues for a variety of software and hardware.
• Create and manage help desk tickets for support issue tracking.
• Monitor and resolve support issues to minimize computer down time.
• Maintain, manage, troubleshoot and upgrade computer systems and servers for performance and security related issues.
• Set-up and maintenance of data services, as well as phone, computer, and printer installations.
• Install and repair CNC computers.
• Maintain inventory of network equipment.
• Security cameras install, maintenance and support.
• Maintain building access security software and accounts.
• Maintain timekeeping software and accounts.
• The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years' network support experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have experience in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must have excellent oral communication, organization, and troubleshooting skills. Must have CAT5/CAT6 Cabling experience. Must have working knowledge of Windows Server 2008, 2013, and 2016; Windows 7 and Windows 10 Operating Systems; FTP knowledge; Microsoft Exchange 2013; Microsoft Office Suites versions 2013, 2007, 2003 and 2002. Working knowledge of Citrix as well as VPN connections.

Physical Demands

Must be able to sit and work on a computer the majority of the work day. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally. Overtime and overnight travel may be required. Must be able to work in awkward positions in order to service personal computers and other equipment. All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.
