The Senior Contracts Manager is responsible, at the site or business unit level, for administration of existing contracts, reviewing new contracts, the contracts department, its procedures and employees and all intellectual property activities.
• Administration of existing contracts includes the following responsibilities/activities either directly or through an assigned contracts manager:
o Monitor and pro-actively manage out of scope work issues.
o Review and respond to customer requests for proposals for out of scope work.
o Estimate and bid recurring and non-recurring impact for out of scope work.
o Prepare and negotiate contract schedule changes, termination and all other claims.
o Prepare and negotiate contract escalation requirements.
• New Contract review includes the following responsibilities/activities:
o Develop terms and conditions to implement appropriate business strategies in support of commercial proposals and contract execution.
• Contracts department responsibilities include:
o Creating and implementing a training program.
• Contracts department employee responsibilities include:
o Hiring, conducting performance reviews, and assigning goals.
o Directing contracts department employees in daily activities.
• Oversees and directs the work of the Contracts Dept. for assigned site or business unit.
• Has the authority to hire or fire other employees, makes decisions as to the advancement and promotion or any other change of status of assigned employees.
• General Duties:
o All employees have an affirmative duty to protect and maintain the confidentiality of the SAFRAN CABIN products.
o All employees are required to productively react to change and handle other essential tasks as assigned now or in the future.
Travel specifictity
Traveling is required.
Candidate skills & requirements
Education: BS in Engineering or BA Business or equivalent.
Experience: 5 years of experience in commercial aircraft interior or equivalent + 1 year leadership experience.
Computer Skills:
• Basic knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Other Skills:
• Experienced professional with extensive training, education, or experience in supervisory or management, business administrating, communication (including public speaking, negotiating, coaching, consulting, and motivating others), and organizational skills.
• Able to maintain good relationships with customers and a clear understanding of their expectations in terms of contracts and business issues.
• Effective oral and written communications skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and assignments with attention to detail
• Problem solving, well organized, detailed oriented and accurate.
