We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Senior Manager, Practice Business Intelligence to lead our organization's strategic initiatives in leveraging data analytics to drive informed decision-making and operational excellence at McLean Hospital. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business intelligence strategy, overseeing all aspects of data analysis, visualization, and reporting, and driving continuous improvement in our business intelligence practices. As the Senior Manager, Practice Business Intelligence, you'll lead McLean Hospital's strategic initiatives in harnessing the power of data to drive informed decision-making and operational excellence. With a focus on developing and executing a comprehensive business intelligence strategy, you'll oversee all aspects of data analysis, visualization, and reporting to deliver actionable insights that support clinical practice delivery and operational goals and objectives. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving innovation, fostering a data-driven culture, and driving continuous improvement in our business intelligence practices. On-site and in person at least 3 days per week, meeting with various stakeholders to evaluate the progress and effectiveness of the practice business intelligence program. Proactively identifies needs and facilitates 1:1 or group meetings with hospital personnel to problem-solve and prevent avoidable challenges. The on-site work expectation, for the Senior Manager, Practice Business Intelligence, may change and falls under the decision authority of the Executive Director of Operations.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive business intelligence strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Lead the identification of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure business performance and drive decision-making.
  1. Team Management:
    • Lead and mentor a practice business intelligence team to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
    • Define roles, responsibilities, and goals for team members and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
  1. Data Analysis and Interpretation:
    • Oversee the analysis of complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decision-making.
    • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and reliability in all analyses and interpretations.
  1. Data Visualization and Reporting:
    • Lead the development of interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key insights and KPIs to stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to customize reports and dashboards to meet specific business needs and requirements.
  1. Business Intelligence Tools and Technologies:
    • Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in business intelligence tools, technologies, and methodologies.
    • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance the organization's business intelligence capabilities, including predictive modeling and forecasting.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements for data analysis and reporting.
    • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders to influence decision-making.
  1. Continuous Improvement:
    • Drive continuous improvement in business intelligence processes, methodologies, and tools.
    • Identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains in data analysis and reporting practices.


Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree (Required): A degree in a relevant field such as business administration, statistics, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline.

2. Master's Degree (Preferred): A master's degree in a relevant field such as Master of Business Administration (MBA), master's in healthcare administration (MHA), Master of Science (MS), or a related discipline.

3. Candidates will have at least 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in business administration, business analytics, clinical practice management, or a related field. This experience may include progressively increasing levels of responsibility, leadership roles, and demonstrated success in managing complex project portfolios and leading teams.

4. A relevant advanced degree may replace traditional years of experience

Continuing Education: Given the dynamic nature of project management and portfolio management practices, ongoing professional development and continuing education are essential and will be expected throughout the incumbent's tenure. Staying updated on industry trends, emerging methodologies, and best practices through workshops, seminars, conferences, and online courses have been proven to enhance knowledge and skills in practice business intelligence.
