SENIOR PARK AIDE (SEASONAL) - GOLD FIELDS DISTRICT / FOLSOM LAKE STATE RECREATION AREA
Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKS program. The reporting location for this position is Folsom Sector located at 7755 Folsom-Auburn Road, Folsom, CA 95630.
The Senior Park Aide works under the supervision of the Folsom Sector State Park Peace Officer Supervisor, and under the daily direction of the Folsom State Park Interpreter I and with guidance from the District Interpretive Coordinator. The Senior Park Aide will assist the Interpreter I in delivering interpretive and education programs at Folsom Lake SRA and the Folsom Powerhouse SHP. Other duties will include assisting with volunteer coordination, and State Park sponsored special events and other fairs, shows and community events. The Senior Park Aide is required to work weekends, holidays, and evenings, and will work a 4 day/10-hour schedule and will perform duties dressed in an approved California State Parks uniform.
This position may work up to 1500 hours per year/in a 12 consecutive month period.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
