SENIOR PARK AIDE (SEASONAL) - CAPITAL DISTRICT

Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKS program. Under the supervision of the Museum Curator I, the Park Aide reports to the Statewide Museum Collections Center (SMCC) located at 4940 Lang Avenue in McClellan Business Park but may be assigned to other units in the Capital District as needed, including State Indian Museum State Historic Park, Sutter's Fort State Historic Park, State Capitol Museum, Leland Stanford Mansion State Historic Park, and Old Sacramento State Historic Park. The normal shift will be Monday through Friday. This position may require working evenings, holidays, and weekends.

Assists with unpacking, inventory assessment, handling, cleaning, cataloging, object photography, research, data collection, moving, and rehousing of museum objects belonging to Capital District at SMCC, especially Native cultural items currently part of the State Indian Museum/California Indian Heritage Center collection (SIM/CIHC).

This position may work up to 1500 hours per year/in a 12 consecutive month period.
