The Senior Procurement Manager role will be responsible for supporting the Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions Core organization with Procurement spend of $2.2B (fiscal year 2023). Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions Core Organization as the core organization for Microsoft all up sales strategies will require new sets of requirements/purchases for existing solutions to drive further efficiencies leveraging GenAI and Co-Pilots. Procurement will need to enable the supplier AI strategies as well as any other vendor program spend for this business in a compliant, efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive early business engagements across all areas or purchasing spend categories with cross-functional leadership to influence and drive action on supply solutions and strategies, business requirements, sourcing strategies.
  • Collaborates with suppliers and Supplier Relationship Management to align on supplier strategies to finance priorities while meeting business needs as the impact of GenAI becomes more prevalent.
  • In collaboration across procruement functions integrate business specifications in the sourcing process while driving procurement influenced suppler strategies across purchasing categories where GenAI will fundamentally impact on how categories are defined and purchased .
  • Ensures adherence to policy, educates stakeholders and suppliers on policy compliance, and identifies opportunities across Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions Core to adapt policy and finance initiatives to mitigate risks and enable fiscal efficiencies.
  • Executes contracts and comply with established control process to ensure delivery and execution in alignment with business requirements and identifying risks related to contractual obligations that need to be mitigated with the infusion of GenAI capabilities, requiring standard terms to be appended.
  • Maintain partnership and alignment with finance controllership team to drive for One finance approach when executing on core priorities and initiatives with Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions Core stakeholders/lines of business.
  • Ensure Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions Core is integrated and contributing to procurement led initiatives around diversity and sustainability, where accountability is being driven to Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions Core business leads to measure and track impact for each initiative.
  • Actively look for opportunities where Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions Core strategies span across both Core and Regions, specifically the Americas region and how a centralized engagement would benefit specific strategies with global intent.

Qualifications:

Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 5+ years experience (including internships) in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 4+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations
    • OR equivalent experience.
Sourcing and Category Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
