Reporting to the Director of Procurement, this role is the functional leader responsible for the procurement-related systems and processes that enable the execution of the Procurement strategy. Responsible for Procurement systems development & enhancements, and developing efficient processes that meet business requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Design and implement business processes to ensure efficient and effective Procurement and Sourcing operations, including supplier onboarding, catalog management, eRFQ, and supplier enablement.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment between sourcing
strategies and overall business objectives. - Lead system enhancements for SAP, Oracle, Jaggaer, and other PSM systems, ensuring proper project discipline and change management for each effort.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of sourcing strategies and initiatives.
- Regularly review performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Manage and optimize procurement systems across the organization to identify automation opportunities, improve data analytics for increased savings opportunities, and optimize controls and processes.
- Develop a technology roadmap across the Source to Pay process that supports changing customer needs and supports the ongoing Procurement transformation
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements.
- Promote continuous learning and development within the team to keep skills current and relevant.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop contingency plans.
- Encourage diverse supplier base to ensure innovation and competitiveness.
- Collaborate within PSM, Leadership, and various operational departments to advance the company's initiatives to meet company goals.
- Develop relationships with key internal TKE business leaders to support the creation of a world-class procurement experience.
- Ensure that all sourcing activities, including negotiation, drafting, and management of supplier contracts comply with company policies, relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including import/export regulations and trade compliance.
- Develop and utilize should cost models to accurately estimate the cost of products and services, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage product costs throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring cost targets are met without compromising quality or performance.
- Analyze cost drivers and implement cost control measures to achieve optimal cost structures.
- Identify and lead cross-functional and continuous improvement activities.
- Leads Spend Data Analytics & Reporting, eSourcing, and contract management for the assigned clusters/categories/projects
- Drive spend compliance into established supply chain strategies.
- Develop & implement supplier corrective action and recovery plans as required with internal stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and career growth within the organization.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree required: Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
- 10+ years of sourcing and supplier relations experience
- 5+ years leading Procurement teams at a Managerial level.
- 5+ years in the OEM elevator industry or similar business
- Master's in Business Administration, preferred.
- Certifications: Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or PMP desired, preferred.
- SAP (ERP), Oracle, and P2P system expertise vital to the role
- Robust problem-solving and project management skills.
- Expert understanding of strategic sourcing and procurement best practices,
processes, procedures and strategies. - Advanced understanding of supply landscapes, manufacturing, and product lifecycles.
- Ability to work with ambiguous data and transform it into a clear story for analysis
and decision-making. - Understand total spend, pricing structure, commercial terms, market influencers that impact materials or services, purchased finished products, and manufactured
assemblies with a particular knowledge of market dynamics, cost drivers, and supply chain. - Demonstrated negotiation skills including a TCO approach.
- Experience with ERP systems, Spend Data Analytics & Reporting, eSourcing, eAuctions and contract management systems.
- Skilled at change management; well-honed "radar" for stakeholder management
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and presentation skills;
- Excellent managerial and organizational skills
- Proactive, dynamic, self-driven, able to achieve results utilizing data and
collaboration as key tools of influence. - Exceptional persuasion and interpersonal skills to interact with suppliers,
business leaders, and all other internal stakeholders. - Proficient in Microsoft Office; Oracle; Advanced Excel abilities (pivot tables, VLookup, macros, charting/graphing).
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency to deliver
results.
