Job Summary:
The Department of Medical Social Sciences (MSS) aims to establish itself as a leader in advancing and applying outcomes/effectiveness research to improve patient care and influence policy. Our strong academic ties across the university and the medical school encourage comprehensive collaboration in disease management, prevention and control. We intend to meet a growing need for expanded interdisciplinary scientific collaboration, to promote discovery of multidimensional mechanisms of health and disease, to improve adult and pediatric health status and outcome assessment, and to collaborate with partners in genetic, epidemiologic, biologic and behavioral translational research paradigms. While part of our work serves to reduce health disparities of groups that are traditionally underrepresented in research, we acknowledge that there is always room to grow in our efforts. MSS is committed to creating a world of inclusion, health, and well-being for all. We hire the best people from a wide variety of backgrounds because drawing on their diverse perspectives and experiences will be the foundation of our department's future success.
One of the foci of the department is the support of the National Institutes of Health (NIH)'s state-of-the-science patient-reported outcomes measurement systems under the Health Measures umbrella. This position will work within the Health Measures team, a group of measurement scientists with expertise in the development, validation, expansion, assessment technologies, and implementation of patient-reported outcomes measures. The Senior Program Coordinator will support the sales, marketing, research, and use of patient-reported outcome measures software and services. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the implementation of patient-reported outcome measures around the world and promote patient-centered care. Responsibilities include managing client queries and teleconference calls related to software sales and use of patient-reported outcome measures; conducting screenshot reviews of electronic implementation of patient-reported outcome measures; supporting conferences to promote Health Measures products and services; supporting the development of marketing to further promote and disseminate Health Measure products.
