Job Summary
The Senior IT Project Manager has proven experience managing complex application and system development projects in a Scrum environment with the understanding that the approach varies based on the project and circumstances. This position is responsible for assembling the project team, assigning responsibilities, and managing schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure timely completion of assigned projects. This position requires professional maturity and flexibility in approach to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and that they meet project goals and Consumer Cellular expectations as defined by the documented scope, schedule, milestones and definition of done. The Senior IT Project Manager must be a credible and effective communicator, and successful in building relationships and rapport across all levels of the organization. This role will interface directly with internal resources, vendors, and partners, and requires the management of resources and activities to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage IT software development and application support projects.
  • Work with Product Owners and the business to understand project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including documentation of project scope, goals, benefits, deliverables, important milestones, timelines, schedules, internal and external resources, project dashboards, etc.
  • Communicate the project status, requirements, and structure across the Project Management team and all necessary departments like Finance/Legal/HR/Marketing/Call Center.
  • Manage daily progress of projects including risk assessment and problem resolution.
  • Guide and perform strategic analysis for the project and proactively manage changes in project scope.
  • Organize and manage all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion.
  • Assemble and coordinate project team members, assigning individual responsibilities.
  • Plan and oversee the preparation and dissemination of project communications.
  • Lead issue identification, tracking, escalation and resolution.
  • Monitors risk events before becoming issues and potential roadblocks.
  • Work with Product Owners, Dev Managers, Scrum Masters, and task owners to create and update status and task reporting.
  • Schedule and facilitate recurring meetings to review and monitor project tasks and status.
  • Prepare and participate in quality review checkpoints.
  • Track the build out of project testing and training needs.
  • Manage various PMO and IT growth and improvement projects, as assigned.
