KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Specialist to join our Federal Advisory practice.
Responsibilities:
- Develop / implement robust data pipelines and ETL processes using Databricks and other relevant technologies to support financial data workflows
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements / deliver scalable solutions
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability throughout the pipeline using testing frameworks and monitoring tools
- Maintain / enhance data pipelines, optimize and tune them for performance / efficiency in cloud environments
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in handling financial data
- Document technical specifications, data flows, and processes to ensure transparency / reproducibility
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of data engineering / analytics experience; U.S. Federal government consulting experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines utilizing Databricks
- Knowledge of cloud-based data technologies, preferably in AWS or Azure (e.g. - AWS EMR, S3, Azure HDInsight, Blob Storage)
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and systems / tools (e.g. - Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Oracle, SAP HANA)
- Experience working in Agile environments utilizing Project Management / Jira tools, version control systems (e.g. - Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts, and ability to navigate through data models in support of data triage
- Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
- U.S. citizenship required and an active U.S. Federal government Secret security clearance
