What you will do for us!

  • Manage all facets of financial accounting including cash management, payroll, accounts payable, general ledger, capital and fixed asset management, prepaid & accrued accounts.
  • Prepare financial statements/reports/presentations for internal and external users.
  • Coordinate and prepare requested information for external auditors, tax accountants, cost report preparers and financial institutions.
  • Monitor and report key findings with respect to all financial data including financial analysis and statistics, procedure and physician case review, contract analysis, payer trends, payable issues, payroll discrepancies etc.
  • Act as a super-user for the hospital's accounting and payroll systems.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationship with other members of the management team and staff.
  • Assure compliance with appropriate Federal and State regulatory agencies and hospital policies.
  • Manage training needs of the accounting and payroll staff.


What you must have!

  • 5+ years working in a hospital setting or 7+ years in healthcare.
  • Strong General ledger and Financial Modeling.
  • Understanding and importance of timely Month End Close.
  • Familiarity of the financial operations of a hospital including the intricacies of out-of-network insurance and UB billing.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written/verbal) memos and correspondence clearly and precisely.
  • Exceptional problem solving, prioritization and analytical skills.
  • Expert computer skills (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
  • Managerial, teaching, organizational, planning and integration skills.


Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required. Experience with MedHost, Quickbooks and Power BI a plus!
