Overview:

Twin Peaks Restaurants is looking to hire a Staff Accountant for our corporate office in Addison! In this role, you will prepare and analyze a variety of financial statements for accuracy and compliance, as well as review and audit the restaurant transactional activity and general support.

As Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining and providing various reports and summaries and communicate with restaurants regarding the discrepancies found in weekly reporting and ensuring resolution of outstanding issues. You will work with the Assistant Controller to address reporting variances and prepare various reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends, propose and implement process improvements for areas of responsibility and complete monthly closing processes.

You will:
  • Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by analyzing account information
  • Document financial transactions by updating account data
  • Recommend financial actions and summarize the current financial status
  • Handle financial transactions by auditing documents
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing policies and procedures
  • Coordinate financial issues by collecting and analyzing accounting data
  • Ensure financial security by following internal controls


You have / You are:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of accounting experience; restaurant/retail accounting background is a plus
  • Punctual, reliable and solid communication skills
  • Strong Excel Skills (lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Ability to work with a team and produce quality output under tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated and thrives in fast paced environment
  • Analytical and numbers focused with attention to detail
  • Prioritization skill and time management
  • Quick learner with a positive attitude
  • Authorized to work in the United States
