Employer: Amazon
Industry: Project/Program/Product Management--Technical
Salary: $136100 per year
Job type: Full-Time
Are you passionate about improving the customer experience, and connecting that experience with technology solutions to address customer problems? If so, then join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Sales, Marketing, and global Services Operations (SMGS Ops) team as technical product manager to become a strategic advisor to your customer and internal technology teams.
The Sales, Marketing, and Global Services Operations (SMGS Ops) mission is to enable the AWS field ("sellers") organization to be the most efficient and effective in the world. Our goal is to reduce inefficiencies and overall cost of sales while identifying opportunities to accelerate revenue growth. Our team deliver the tools, data, mechanism, and processes that drive new sales strategies to accelerate revenue growth and more efficient cost of sales.
The SMGS Ops team is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager that will facilitate engagement with the different product and service owners across different organizations on business strategy and roadmap execution, representing the Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) interest. You will be responsible for driving strategy and engaging with launch partners to scope and build new and enhanced processes and systems across sales, operations, and technology teams. You will actively participate in developing the strategy and roadmap across multiple pillars in the organization and be a key player in defining business requirements, project execution, and launch. You will provide an independent perspective to help create proposals and/or recommendations for the organization and customer leadership team reviews. You will own mechanisms to ensure customer and stakeholder engagement from project initiation, execution, and launch of all SMGS Ops products and services for WWPS, and regular monitoring of progress and resolution of issues.
The role is at the intersection of art and science. The successful candidate thrives in working at that intersection, and will be insatiably inquisitive about our customer experience and connect that experience with cutting-edge technology solutions to address customer problems. You will be a strategic leader for the org and the customer, working closely with technology, UX design, data science, program management, legal, security and finance teams in defining and managing product roadmaps in areas of high complexity.

• Analyze and report on product performance and adoption metrics.
• Own mechanisms to ensure customer and stakeholder engagement from project initiation, execution, and launch of all products and services for our public sector sellers, and regular monitoring of progress and resolution of issues.
• Advise on proposals and/or recommendations for customer and our leadership team reviews.
