Cisco is looking for an experienced security product manager to join our Catalyst security team leading the development of networking security solutions tightly integrated with Cisco's Routing, SDWAN and Security Services Stack.

What You'll Do

Enterprise Routing & SDWAN is a multi-billion-dollar core business for Cisco where we enjoy high market shares. The Catalyst 8000 is used by tens of thousands of Enterprises, Government and Service Provider customers across the globe. As a result of the convergence of networking and security, there is a major opportunity to reshape the wide-area-networking business where security policies can be defined centrally and implemented across a distributed fabric closest to users, devices and workloads. As Cisco moves towards a more software focused strategy with high levels of security integration, this is a great time to help pave and transform the Routing & SDWAN space.

  • Definition of product requirements and strategies, aligned with customer needs and market trends for network security solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and develop security features.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches and go-to-market strategies.
  • Engage with customers to gather feedback and understand their security needs.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Monitor product performance and make data-driven decisions to improve security offerings.
  • Stay updated on the latest security threats and technologies to keep our products ahead of the curve.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and customer support. Also, you will be working across multiple Cisco businesses including Catalyst Networking, Cisco Security and Meraki to deliver consistent customer experiences. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree + 8 years of related experience, or Master's degree + 6 years, or PhD + 3 years.
  • Product Management experience, including defining product requirements, managing product backlogs, and driving product strategy.
  • Experience within network security, specifically developing and delivering security features and solutions.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work closely with engineering to understand technical tradeoffs and their impact on the product.
  • Ability to code is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to bring together insights from every corner (customers, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams) to ensure the best product experience.
  • Effective communication to any audience (company leadership, engineering, customers, and more) is key to success in this role.

For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
