Senior Transit Policy and Planning Executive, Bay Area
San Francisco, California
Employer: Uber
Industry: Sales & Account Management
Salary: $153000 per year
Job type: Full-Time
About the Role
Do you have extensive experience in public transit policy, planning and executive leadership in the Bay Area? This role with Uber Transit is a great opportunity to grow and expand Uber's partnerships with local cities and Transit Agencies! We are looking for someone to spearhead new transit partnership opportunities in the Bay Area. You'll represent the Uber Transit business while using your existing network to plan, form, and contract new Uber Transit partnerships with Transit Agencies throughout the greater Bay Area in California. You will attend board meetings and transit agency events to ensure a deep, on the ground connection to what Bay Area agencies are most acutely focused on.
The future of transportation lies in collaborative mobility, emphasizing shared resources and seamless integration. We are looking for a passionate leader who can help us realize this vision by helping Uber, Transit Agencies, Cities and other key stakeholders bring public private partnerships to life.
This newly formed role is critical to the future of our fast growing Uber Transit team of over 25 transit professionals, supporting over 80 live partnerships that will generate 6 million trips in 2023.
What You'll Do
Best-in-class Public Private Partnership (PPP) Planning: Drive towards short and long-term partnership goals, ensuring the right people and processes are in place to get there. Be accountable for a partnership target in the Bay Area and be held accountable to performance targets against it.
Bring your passion for public transit: You'll be someone who is excited about public transit and our ability to partner with cities or public transit agencies to improve the transit experience. Leaning on your extensive transit policy, planning or executive leadership experience, act as an advocate for Transit Agencies by learning their needs (both product and process). Then, by working with the Uber Transit launch and operations team, ensure they're building and launching the right products to address those needs.
Stakeholder management: Lead meetings and business planning sessions with internal and external partners. Clearly communicate metrics and progress on a regular cadence to key partner prospects and the Uber Transit leadership team.
Build processes and enable scale: Scale Transit partnerships in the Bay Area for a company that's growing rapidly and changing constantly. Drive continuous process improvement to deliver a consistent world-class & effective PPP experience.
Team collaboration: Collaborate closely with key members of the Transit Leadership team and the broader organization to ensure you can meet stated PPP objectives in the Bay Area.
Be numbers savvy: Dive deep into the numbers and make data-driven decisions and process improvements to ensure ongoing growth. Be responsible for identifying trends within your team's performance as well as overall sales trends.
