The Senior UX Designer is responsible for the evolution and continuous improvement of the member/user experience across the Credit Union's digital channels, including public websites, the account origination experience, online banking, and the mobile banking app. This role translates business and functional objectives into interactive prototypes and detailed UX design specifications. The Senior UX Designer works to design intuitive digital experiences, create design systems and components, and execute interfaces using their expertise in visual design. This role also assists in the update of digital interfaces by providing UX architectural guidance or directly working on the front end.
The Senior UX Designer works collaboratively with other members of the Digital Services team, as well as Enterprise Technologies development teams, Marketing, and other departments, acting as liaison between these teams, whilst championing the member/user experience. Serves as the subject matter expert and champion of user-centered design to improve the user experience of all the credit union's digital properties (account origination, online and mobile banking, marketing microsites, etc.). Provides architectural deliverables, such as user task/journey flows, storyboards, prototypes, publishable interfaces, style guides, etc. Drives UX-related business requirements in collaboration with business analysts, content strategists and digital analysts. Presents design proposals to executives and pertinent lines of business. Plans and conducts usability tests and contextual inquiries with u / members. Provides guidance and solution options based on user feedback. Executes approved design ideas through some front-end programming on SharePoint, Sitecore, and miscellaneous platforms such as Azure and Squarespace, to create, maintain and improve digital interfaces. Informs the departmental management's vision and decision-making towards the ongoing, continuous evolution of our digital properties to achieve set corporate objectives. Captures and translates the management's vision into concrete UX deliverables. Maintains the design system and UX/UI standards in close collaboration with the other UX/UI designers.

Required Skills & Experience
* 5 years of UI and UX Design experience in a non-agency setting i.e., for an internal digital team at a bank
* Experience with usability testing and digital prototyping using tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe XD, Figma etc.
* Comfortable providing architectural deliverables, such as user task/journey flows, storyboards, prototypes, publishable interfaces, style guides, etc.
* Working knowledge of front-end development languages like HTML, CSS, jQuery and/or JavaScript
* Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Working knowledge of frameworks like Bootstrap or Ionic (their current mobile framework)
* Experience designing mobile applications
