Ecolab is providing an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Digital Solutions team as a UX Designer. In this role you will be working hands on, embedded with our product teams where, you will be expected to learn and follow best practices around user-centered design while learning more about the life of a UX designer and taking your design skills to the next level in a supportive and fast-paced environment. Work from our office in Dallas, TX (hybrid).

Location: This position is based in Dallas, TX with a hybrid work schedule

What You'll be Doing:

  • You'll transform requirements (business, engineering, data, timeline, user needs, etc.) into clear design solutions
  • You'll identify knowledge gaps and collaborate with UX researchers, designers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to fill those necessary gaps
  • You'll drive the design process to produce solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and data insights
  • You'll identify the best design methods to articulate your solutions (sketches, wireframes, flows, prototypes, high fidelity design, etc.)
  • You'll collaborate with engineers during the implementation phase to ensure the product meets design intent and quality standards
  • You'll perform UX research activities including customer interviews to validate assumptions surfaced during ideation and to validate the effectiveness of current designs in production


Minimum Qualifications
  • Degree in Design/Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science or a related field (or 4+ years relevant experience)
  • 2 years experience in at least one of the following: Figma, Axure RP, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Communicate concepts and designs through sketches, wireframes, flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity comps
  • Collaborate and work in an iterative design process, motivated by group critique
  • Experience writing user scripts, reviewing designs, brainstorming approaches, and auditing a feature before it is released.
  • Familiar with agile development methodologies and have the ability to keep up with a fast-paced and global company.
  • Working knowledge of front-end development using HTML, CSS, or other front-end frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in using Uizard, github copilot, or even ChatGPT as some part of your design process (even if only on an academic project) and can speak to it in your application.
