Ecolab is seeking a Safety, Health and Environmental Manager to drive, coordinate and prioritize site SH&E processes and projects to guide and advise the Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team in the delivery of all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Results . The manager will also ensure the plant is in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements and Ecolab Policies & Standards.

What You Will Do:

  • Implement initiatives and actions identified as priority by Ecolab, and those developed locally, to improve the safety, health and environment performance of the site


  • Implement hazard identification and risk assessment programs, ensure SHE risk assessments are maintained and updated, and monitor prioritized plans to minimize risk and thereby drive SHE performance on site


  • Run risk assessment Program to drive continuous improvement on the site; including measurement and improvement on KPI's (injury rates, unsafe conditions, site engagement scores, safety training hours)


  • Develop a nd r ecommend investment plans to reduce or minimize SHE losses to acceptable level on the site, lead and monitor their implementation


  • Lead Programs to actively reduce environmental impact of site operations including waste, effluent, emissions, carbon and energy consumption


  • Incorporate applicable priorities resulting from incident investigations on site, from other sites, or industry alerts into site improvement plan


  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Health, Safety and Environmental law, regulations, company policies and standards


  • Ensure that any unacceptable or high risks in the workplace, or to the environment, have been satisfactorily mitigated


  • Set up and/or maintenance and documentation of an effective risk assessment program covering all workplace hazards


  • Ensure an effective Occupational Health Screening & Health Surveillance program on site


  • P roven track record of managing a department and leading others


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, Process Safety Management or similar technical field


  • M inimum 4 years relevant industrial experience where you have demonstrated the above skills
  • P roven track record of leading others


  • No Immigration sponsorship available for this opportunity


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum National Certification [or equivalent] to qualify the holder to practice in Safety and Health; plus training and/or experience, or qualification in Environmental Safety & Sustainability.


  • Experience of working in a SHE related position in the Chemical Industry [or in an Engineering Industry for non-chemical plants]

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:
$100,000 - $120,000

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range is based on full-time 40 hours per week. Ecolab in good faith anticipates it will pay within the posted range. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining the compensation for a potential new employee such as education, training, experience, work location, travel (if required), etc.
