Job Description

SCOPE OF POSITION
The Site Supervisor II is responsible for day-to-day functional supervision of one or more clinics in a physician practice service line or geographic region. Working under direction of the Practice Administrator, this individual must be competent and proficient in and must ensure the efficient execution of charge entry, insurance and payer validation, payroll editing, producing financial reports for physician review, scheduling team member vacations and time off, reviewing, interviewing, and assisting in the recommendation of new hires, maintaining necessary inventories for the delivery of patient care, ensuring team member compliance with policies and procedures, and participating in disciplinary actions. The Site Supervisor II will also be available to team members to discuss problems and to direct employees to the appropriate person for counsel, and is required to keep the Practice Administrator informed with regard to team member concerns and problem areas. The Site Supervisor II is the first-line responder to patient complaints and issues in the practice.
It is vital that an individual in this position be capable of good communication skills. It is of the utmost importance that written communication is legible.
Ballad expects all team members to support the VOS initiative by demonstrating awareness of the VOS system and effectively applying it to his/her work.
Job duties of this position may require access to protected patient information (PHI). The team member will be accountable for appropriate use of the record and compliance with all confidentiality and security policy and procedures related to use, access, and disclosure of PHI.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or equivalent strongly preferred; 3-5 years healthcare management experience and prior supervisory experience required. Experience overseeing administrative support team preferred. Experience in a physician office setting preferred as the individual must quickly become familiar with frontline office functions such as medical terminology, managed care plans, medical insurance claim filing and charge entry, and various other functions of the office. The ability to communicate effectively with employees, patients, and physicians is a necessity. This position requires excellent computer skills.
