Will work closely with Social Media Coordinator to create and implement content. Develop content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis. Monitor analytics to identify viable ideas. Provide support at live events, i.e., take photos and create posts. Assist with maintenance and daily operations of all SCA Social Media Platforms. Work with other social media assistant to create weekly newsletters highlighting accomplishments in all five departments within SCA. The selected candidate must work well in a collaborative environment and be passionate and proactive about promoting the School of Communication & the Arts to prospective and current students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Content Creation: Design and develop miscellaneous content to advertise events, increase followership, and promote The School of Communication & the Arts (SCA) and the five departments within. Additionally, the student will work in collaboration with the Social Media Coordinator and fellow assistant to create a weekly newsletter highlighting weekly accomplishments within the school.
  • Event Coverage: Attend and cover events within SCA for social media and the weekly newsletter. Must be willing to attend events outside of typical operating hours and take photos, write summaries of said events, etc.
  • Cover for Social Media Coordinator when necessary.
  • Communicate in a professional manner.
  • Work well in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Available to do light office jobs and run errands on Liberty's campus.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be a residential student at Liberty University and is Work Study approved.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiar with popular Social Media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok, etc.)
  • Able to communicate effectively.
  • Well-dressed with a pleasant personality, able to represent the school in a professional manner.
  • Dependable and trustworthy
  • Cooperative team player


Preferred Qualifications:

Available to work up to 18 hours per week.

Work Environment

The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate.

There are no driving requirements for this position, however the student must be able to navigate around Liberty's campus in some manner.
