We are excited to partner with a prestigious banking institution to find a highly skilled and motivated Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET). This role is crucial for ensuring the highest quality of software solutions that drive our client's business processes and customer interactions. As an SDET, you will be at the forefront of developing, maintaining, and enhancing automated testing frameworks and tools that ensure robust and reliable software performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance professionals, to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet stringent regulatory and performance standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret written requirements and technical specifications for software solutions to business problems.
  • Develop software based on the technical specifications.
  • Analyze and investigate problems with software solutions reported by clients and document the investigation results.
  • Perform maintenance of software and correct defects identified during the maintenance process.
  • Run unit tests on created software, implement test plans, test harnesses, and document test results.
  • Investigate and suggest solutions to defects and problems with software solutions detected during testing.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain automation test cases and test scenarios for high-volume, low-latency web and desktop applications.
  • Design test automation frameworks for web services, APIs, and web-based applications.
  • Ensure automation is constantly running, analyzing, documenting, and promptly reporting on failures.
  • Partner with scrum team members to build automation solutions that advance SDLCs and meet critical business objectives.
  • Design data persistence using SQL, MongoDB, or any other database management system.
  • Drive a continuous improvement mentality to deliver robust performance testing strategies and methods.
  • Mentor peers and junior SDETs, creating a culture of following automation best practices and standards through code reviews.

Requirements:
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Agile/Lean development and testing practices, including Automated Test Driven Development, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
  • Experience with web service virtualization, data virtualization, and test data management.
  • Hands-on experience with browser automation testing tools (e.g., Sauce Labs, Selenium, Protractor, CodedUI).
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server or document-oriented databases (e.g., MongoDB).
  • Advanced hands-on software development experience and experience with leading automation framework development (6-10 years).
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, Puppet).

The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $55-$60 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
