We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Developer with excellent communication skills to engage with internal/external stakeholders and senior leadership.

Location:
  • Binghamton, NY (Onsite)

Requirements:
  • Active secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 13 years of relevant experience in leadership, development, or technology roles.
  • Strong engineering principles and innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven success in a dynamic development environment.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive criticism.
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows System Administration, including command line tools.
  • Interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Self-motivated engineer with a strong work ethic, demonstrating ownership and accountability.
  • Proactive leader with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Providing accurate updates on budget, schedule, and technical matters.
  • Supporting the installation, optimization, and troubleshooting of development systems and simulation components.
  • Designing scalable tools and processes to meet evolving team needs.
  • Collaborating with production release and operations teams for consistent and high-quality builds.
  • Creating media and procedures for training device execution.
  • Contributing to the design and documentation of development system architectures.
  • Coordinating with other program leads for successful project completion.

Preferred Skills:
  • Prior Military Experience.
  • Proficiency in RedHat Linux, Windows Server System Administration, and TCP/IP Networking.
  • Experience with small network-isolated closed room data centers.
  • Familiarity with Domain Controller setup and Group Policy Objects configuration.
  • Knowledge of storage systems (NAS, SAN, NFS, etc.) and network configurations (Cisco, HP).
  • Experience with system hardening and vulnerability assessment tools.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux Patch Management.
