Position Description

Kinder Morgan Treating is a leading manufacturer and the largest provider of contract operated natural gas treating plants in the United States. We design and build treating and processing plants to ensure that natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons conform to sales pipeline specifications and downstream markets.

Primary purpose:

To mechanically support all construction, installations, and start-ups of amine / glycol / JT / MRU units as directed by the Manager of CIS.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
Inspect all work and insure it meets construction requirements, handle cost management of job, instruct and guide mechanical crews on how to contruct plants for start-up before handing over to operations.

  • Organize and oversee subcontractors for the mechanical installation and start up of Amine and Dehy treating plants Oversee 6 to 20 contractors at one time.
  • Most projects will be in Texas, Louisana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas area
  • 50% - Project manager duties on plant construction/refurb, install, and start-up
  • 30% - Maintaining records and tracking costs on a daily basis and reporting to manager as requested
  • 20% - Communicating all facets of progress to manager and operations to promote smooth transitions between start-up and handing over to operations for the duration Supplementing help for Refurbishment Yards in Victoria, TX. and Odessa, TX.
*Job level will be commensurate with experience and knowledge of the successful candidate.

Position Requirements

Minimum Requirement:

Education:
High school diploma or GED

Experience / specific knowledge:10+ years of experience Amine Plant operations and installation knowledge Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), prioritize work schedule, focus attention on details, and follow rules

Certifications, licenses, registrations:Valid Driver's License

Competencies, skills, and abilities:The position will require good scheduling and management skills along with excellent paper work/ computer skills

Physical demands:Travel to job sites requiring overnight stays away from office.
Must be able to work extended hours in the case of start up situations

Working conditions:Must be able to work in outside temperatures both hot and cold.

Supervisory responsibility:Job will require supervision of subcontractors but no direct reports
