Salary Range: $130,0000 to $160,000
What you will be doing as a Specialized Wireless Engineer IV

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
• Guide Charter and its vendors in the implementation of standardized CPE device designs
• Guide Charter partnerships in contract manufacturing and component ecosystem toward direct manufacturing of standardized CPE device designs
• Guide Charter in the balance of ownership between Charter and its vendors for design, component selection and logistics
• Evaluates and introduces new products / components
• Assists in the development and documentation of technical standards
• Develops and implements approved methods of procedure
• Designs and establishes protocol compatibility standards, develops and implements network
• enhancements and makes recommendations for improvement
• Works on projects/ systems/issues of medium to high complexity surrounding network planning, configuration and optimization

What you will bring to the table as a Specialized Wireless Engineer IV

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience
• Professional level certification or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of professional experience in device design and manufacturing
• Comfort and interest to consult in this role that is not necessarily PCB design
• Experience in RF design, WiFi, HFC Design, DOCSIS specifications 3.0/3.1 a plus
• Experience with handset manufacturers, network equipment vendors, and/or chipset vendors a plus.
• Experience with network test equipment, such as Ixia, Spirent, Fluke Networks, IBB, Spectrum Analyzers, Site Survey Planning tools, and Traffic Generators.
• Must possess expert skills and experience with desktop operating systems and applications (Windows, MAC, Unix/Linux).
