Summary of Position

Under general direction, provides high level analysis for business or clinical initiatives and programs to assess quality, service and performance and produce decision support information. Leads analysis of proposed new clinical program initiatives to assess financial and operational viability. Serves as project leader for complex data analysis projects that can be multi-disciplinary or interdepartmental. Provides guidance in data analysis and interpretation. May direct the work of lower-level analysts. Exercises considerable discretion and independent judgement. Typically reports to manager or director.

Essential Functions

Provides high-level analysis to support business and clinical program improvement and development for large, multi-site Radiology, Laboratory, Pharmacy and Rehabilitation programs.

• Uses financial analysis tools (NPV, ROI, IRR) to assess the financial viability of proposed clinical business initiatives.

• Uses internal and external data sources to create management reports, with accompanying analysis, to support clinical program performance review.

• Responds to ad-hoc data requests, including data requirements in response to regulatory agency requests.

• Teams with Sr. Clinical Operations Leadership to help assess financial and operation performance of clinical programs.

• Prepares budget and financial forecasts to project current and future year volume, revenue, and operational expenses.

• Develops strong knowledge and use of numerous Organizational clinical and business systems

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, with a Masters in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred.

• 2-5 years of experience working as a clinical business analyst in a healthcare setting.

• Familiarity with health care industry clinical and business terms and reporting systems - - CPT, ICD-10, insurance risk contracts, etc.
