Senior Java Developer

Long-term contract (6 months to start with extensions)

Location : Greenwood Village, CO 80111

Onsite expectations : 3 days/week in office; 2 days/week remote

Must have skills/certs/technologies:

• Good understanding and working knowledge on Spring boot, dependency injections, AWS, Kubernetes, NoSQL databases (Mongo/Cassandra/DocumentDB), Unix/Linux, GitLab/Jenkins.
• Web services development experience building restful web services
• 6 Plus years of Java development experience; Must have good knowledge of Java 8 and higher
• Prefer to have someone with design knowledge, API gateway, Web tokens, security.
  

Team Culture/Size/Soft Skills needed:

• Team of six developers on-shore + two off-shore resources

• Good communication is a must

JOB DESCRPTION:

• Experience with Java (preferably java 8)
• Experience with building APIs and services using prevailing design models (REST, SOAP).
• Experience with scripting languages (Shell).
• Experience with infrastructure automation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of AWS.
• Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with build automation technologies (Team City, Jenkins).
• Experience with software security principles and patterns.
• Strong experience working with DevOps engineers to build and deploy infrastructure with cloud deployment technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka
• Strong experience with NoSQL databases.
• Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision.
