Job Description

The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of Software Developer III hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification of Software Developer 3 emerging and the specifications outlined in this document for Texas Department of Public Safety.

Required Skills:

• 15 years of JAVA experience
• 10 years of SQL database experience
• 8 years of Sustaining and development experience in support of large applications in a team environment
• 5 years of Linux experience

Preferred skills:

• 8 years of Atlassian tool suite, especially JIRA
• 8 years of Agile methodology
• 2 years of Experience with State of Texas applications; experience with Texas Department of Public Safety environment
• 2 years of experience transitioning applications from legacy mainframe environments to Java/SQL environment.
