TITLE: Sr. Learning Data Analyst
LOCATION: Charlotte, NC

JOB SUMMARY: Report and provide analyses on learning data for Charter's Corporate Learning Solutions Analytics team. Report on required training for learners. Support development and submission of monthly and quarterly macro-level reports including learning analytics product development and implementation. Requires a thorough understanding of learning systems, the data they generate, and how to utilize them to effectively drive data-based decisions and actions. Proactively connect employee trends such as frontline employee churn, strategic business investments and priorities, employee programs, and other initiatives that relate to learning data. Meet with project teams and sponsors to assess how data/analysis will drive actions and decisions for business goals. Build and maintain sustainable processes for reporting, analyzing and communicating learners/audiences course/program progression. Develop custom reporting in learning management system. Utilize analytical, statistical, and programming skills to clean, aggregate, and analyze large training record data sets and interpret results focusing on impact from a learning perspective. Execute the complete analytics lifecycle for problem solving, including: requirements gathering, problem formulation, data grooming, data exploration, model prototyping, model validation, and preparing related code for production. Utilize learning and development processes and analytical and statistical algorithms to help stakeholders explore methods to improve learning at Charter. Lead large-scale exploratory data analyses for new learning data sources and new uses for existing data sources. Visualize and report data findings to provide insight to stakeholders and explain the importance of patterns in the learning data. Work with business analysis and data methodology. Support and influence junior team members. Apply training-specific nomenclature, training formats, including ILT, vILT, and eLearning, and learning related applications, including LMS, LCMS, Video platform, and Learning Reinforcement/Microlearning applications, to identify data elements for analysis and build data products to create insights into employee training. Work with compliance training programs to develop reporting and insights and to improve reporting metrics. Create automated workflows, data visualizations, and advanced coding analytical products. using analytical and statistical software, including Alteryx, Tableau, and Visual Studio Code Editor. Work with large data sets and tools to obtain, transform, and store data on Big Data and streaming services, including Hadoop, NIFI, Visual Studio Code Editor, and Postman. Use machine learning techniques, including regression, decision trees, clustering, SVMs, neural networks, and time series for predictive analysis and forecasting extrapolation.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Data Science or a related field. 3 years of experience applying training-specific nomenclature and training formats, including ILT, vILT, and eLearning; creating insights into employee training using learning related applications, including LMS, LCMS, Video platform, and Learning Reinforcement/Microlearning applications; in compliance training programs to develop reporting and insights and to improve reporting metrics; applying flexible, modular, and reusable workflows and programming code to learning analytics products; creating automated workflows, data visualizations, and advanced coding analytical products using analytical and statistical software, including Alteryx, Tableau, and Visual Studio Code Editor. A hybrid (in office and remote work) arrangement is available.
