General Description: Manages circulation services at the NOVA Manassas Campus Library. Provides circulation and basic research services. Manages intercampus loans ( ICL ) and interlibrary loans ( ILL ). Manages course reserves collection.

Duties and Tasks:
  • Provides circulation and basic research services
  • Manages course reserves collection
  • Serves on college and campus committees as needed
  • Provides management and supervision of the circulation department.
  • Provides basic reference services (automated and print) to students, faculty/staff and other library patrons
  • Provides other special library services such as intercampus loans, interlibrary loans, serials, overdues and reserves management.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of academic library operations, including circulation and reference services.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with current library systems and research resources.
  • Demonstrated technology skills and understanding of library technology applications.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations and varying education levels.




Required Qualifications:
  • Experience managing circulation services in a library.
  • Experience providing basic research services in a library.
  • Experience in customer service.
