Position Summary

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the designing, development, and testing of all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
  • May be involved in fabrications, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Will be involved in developing military drawing to include Technical Data Packages and Installation Requirements Drawing Packages.
  • Has knowledge of working with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Has knowledge working with government data programs such as CMPRO or METIS.
  • Other Duties as assigned.


Experience

  • 8-10 years of experience in the field working with CAD or SolidWorks drawing programs

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or in lieu of degree 10+ years of experience working in engineering field
  • This position requires an existing U.S. Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the Secret level. Individual must be able to maintain the necessary security clearance/eligibility for employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.


Preferred

  • 8-10 years' experience developing Technical Data Packages and/or Installation Requirements Drawing packages.
