The Sr. Tax Analyst, main objective is the preparation and filing of the federal consolidated return, other federal income tax returns, and state and local income tax returns. They will assist in the timely preparation of the annual tax provisions subject to IAS 12.

Primary Objectives:
  • Gather and analyze information needed for the preparation of foreign, federal, state and local income and franchise tax returns.
  • Preparation of foreign, federal, state and local corporate income and franchise tax returns, including supporting work papers, identification of book/tax differences, and review of state apportionment.
  • Preparation of quarterly federal, state and local income tax estimated payments including extensions.
  • Preparation of calculations and reporting of tax provisions subject to IAS 12,
  • Proactively resolve state notices to minimize assessments and prepare responses to state tax notices.
  • Miscellaneous filings including (annual reports, LLC filings, etc.)
  • Support Managers in defending the company during tax audits.
  • Assist with tax research related to tax audits and tax compliance activities.
  • Assist with identifying and implementing tax planning strategies to meet the Company's objectives.
  • Assist with tax process automation projects, workpaper improvements and special projects as needed.
  • Provide tax support to internal business units.

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of tax experience with a public accounting firm or a corporate tax department. Experience should be a mix of tax accounting as well as corporate income tax compliance.
  • Strong PC skills including MS Office
  • Experience working with tax software applications (Corptax, Bloomberg), SAP experience a plus
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving ability, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate initiative, and technical tax expertise
  • Ability to manage process flow, multiple projects, and meet deadlines within strict time parameters
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, and work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work as an individual and in a team oriented environment with a high level of integrity and professionalism
