Sr. Technical Program Manager, Data: Science \u0026 Engineering
Seattle, Washington
The Data: Science & Engineering (D:SE) team at AWS Marketing is responsible for providing data-driven marketing technology solutions. The team owns the core ROI measurement, generative AI and Machine Learning, analytics and data pillars critical to AWS Marketing's success. We deliver the foundational data infrastructure powering all data products and services via our centralized data lake. We provide insights, tools, and methodologies to analyze performance and return on investment. Key tenets include impact-driven prioritization, favoring automation and self-service, relentless focus on data quality, and driving relevancy through AI/ML targeting and segmentation models. Our vision is to create an AI-powered, data-driven marketing technology ecosystem resulting in unparalleled efficiency, personalization, and measurable business impact.
We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead complex, cross-functional programs that have a significant impact on our data-driven marketing capabilities. In this role, you will focus on critical technology areas like our centralized data infrastructure, advanced analytics, and AI/ML solutions, as well as initiatives that span organizations or geographies to support our overall business objectives. You will partner closely with business and engineering stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements, priorities, and trade-offs.
The Sr. TPM is responsible for the delivery of large and complex projects that may or may not be tied to a larger program. They will manage the roadmap and delivery processes for our organization, which will include driving OP1/OP2, and ownership of one or more organizational goals. As a senior technology program owner, they are accountable for the overall strategy as well as driving teams inside and outside D:SE to deliver. They define the program, set objectives, analyze data, drive improvements that are quantified with metrics, and influence resource allocation. They understand the systems in our product and program space, their limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind architectural decisions
Our environment is fast-paced. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, endlessly curious, detail-oriented and highly organized. Strong communication skills (both oral and written) are critical.
