About the Opportunity:
Looking for stability and long-term growth? Our public client is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant who is responsible for assisting with the timely and accurate preparation of financial reporting including SEC filings and monthly consolidated analyses.

Salary: $70,000-$85,000 + Bonus
Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Supports the financial reporting process by facilitating the preparation of mandatory quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and materials for earnings releases.
• Generates work papers to support SEC disclosures, involving collaboration with accounting teams and other departments.
• Produces work papers aiding in the analysis of financial statement fluctuations for used in reports for senior management.
• Conducts technical accounting and SEC research relevant to designated areas of operation.
• Prepares and records monthly consolidating journal entries.
• Participates in the tagging and review of XBRL.
• Completes the SEC/GAAP disclosure checklist pertaining to assigned areas of responsibility.
• Develops and implements process improvements related to financial reporting processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree preferably in accounting, finance, economics or related business administration field required.
• 2+ years experience in public accounting and/or SEC reporting experience.

• Requires understanding of generally accepted accounting principles to determine appropriateness of accounting and reporting treatment.
• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; advanced knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to effectively interact in a team environment.
