One of our largest media clients is looking for a streaming operations specialist who will support all QoS/QoE aspects of our News and Sports Digital streaming channels. This individual will manage and improve "eyes-on-glass" dashboards related to video service and delivery. This individual will possess the skills and ability to support live streaming events and VOD distribution. Being a full member of the agile team, you will take part in all regular meetings and plannings. You will work both independently and together with the other partners on assigned tasks and projects that will fit your skills and abilities. On the video operations team you will monitor on demand and live streaming assets and prioritize any issues. This person will be joining a team of 5 contributors working remotely and must be flexible to weekend/overnight and rotating shift schedules.

Required Skills & Experience

* Experience in live TV and/or streaming operations roles

* Knowledge of HLS and DASH

* Engineering/streaming background. Experience Ingesting, transcoding, packaging

* Experience with L1 support escalating/working with senior level engineers

* Worked with Content Management Systems (CMS)

* Understanding of live streaming workflows, from sourcing, processing, delivering and engaging from the live event origin all the way to end users

* Experience within AWS suite / video delivery

* Knowledge of ecosystem of workflows/transcoding/CDN delivery/packaging

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Video engineering experience a plus

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, media or similar fields preferred

* Understanding of various multimedia transport protocols such as: RTP, RTMP, SRT, UDP, Zixi

* Experience with video container formats, transmuting and streaming protocols (DASH/HLS)

* Experience monitoring and managing cloud based and in-house encoding software and abr monitoring appliances

* Experience with Digital Rights Management Systems (DRM), including Playready, Widevine & FairPlay
