Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Structures Representative / Resident Engineer, we'll count on you to:

• Work independently under broad, general supervision and in conjunction with the client Project Manager

• Write and issue field change orders, initiate change proposals for design team review and approval, estimate cost of changes, negotiate costs with contractors, and recommend acceptance to the client

• Supervise and direct the activities of Construction Inspectors, testing services and subconsultant

• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering

• Minimum 5 years construction experience as Structures Representative/Resident Engineer on multidisciplinary transportation project

• Must have a fundamental understanding of contract administration of construction contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction project

• Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within document

• Must be able to work in a team environment

• Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction package

• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)

• Ability to interpret construction schedule

The expected compensation range for this position is $111,958.00 - $189,020.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
