Duties
As a Supervisory IT Specialist (Customer Support), GS-2210-12, you will establish performance standards and evaluate employee's performance. Review and recommend approval of candidates for promotions and recognition. Review and approve work plans to be accomplished by subordinates; priorities and schedules for completion of work; set broad objectives; monitor subordinate employees' performance in providing IT services; review accomplishments; and takes appropriate action of correction when deficiencies are noted. Give advice, counsel, or instruct individual employees, on both work and administrative matters. Develop and evaluate performance standards; recommend and approve awards; hear and resolve group employee grievances or serious employee complaints. Review and make decisions on serious disciplinary actions involving employees and make decisions on work problems presented by subordinates. Initiate recognition and disciplinary actions for personnel. Identify and arrange for appropriate training and development opportunities. Determine and approve training needs and establish formal training plans.

Qualifications
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open ONLY to ON BOARD excepted permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the Florida National Guard.
PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.
FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation.
MILITARY GRADES: Officer; O4 thru O5.
NOTE #1: Must complete appropriate training and obtain required certifications IAW DoDI 8140, DOD 8570.01M or applicable governing document(s) for Cyber workforce as an IA Management Level II within 6 months of employment pending training seat.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-12 Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-11 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls. Experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment. Experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management
or
degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
