Qualifications
Position Summary:
Responsible for coordinating patient's surgical procedures and testings, contacting insurance companies for approvals and ensuring that appropriate contacts are made to complete the process. Under the direction of the Office Manager, is responsible for performing secretarial and general office duties, including, but not limited to, answering phones, maintenance of medical records, tabulation of surgical statistics, and support of Surgery operations, in a physician's office to meet the needs of the patient and medical staff. Interacts with all age groups according to their age and developmental needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
High School graduate or equivalent
PREFERRED:
One to two years experience in a physician office setting including experience with scheduling procedures. One to two years' experience with working with insurances including obtaining authorizations. Experience with EPIC Computer System. Experience with Word and Excel. Graduate of an approved medical secretary school.
