About the job

Google's Cloud Supply Chain and Operations (CSCO) team is seeking a Systems Architect to shape and strengthen Design for Operations (Hardware and Software) requirements for the next generation of platforms. The main responsibility is to own strategy and drive execution across a portfolio of projects, ranging from network switches to machine learning pods. The goal is to reduce time and cost for platform deployment, maintenance, and repairs.

In order to achieve the goal, the Systems Architect will interface with stakeholders from data center operations, manufacturing, and supply chain to crystallize Design for Operations requirements. You will influence new platform architectures through technical insights and trade off analyses with stakeholders from the Hardware Design and Software Architecture teams. You'll help mentor a highly experienced team within operations for in-house competence in platforms architecture, both hardware and software.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.
