Systems Engineer (all disciplines)

System One is seeking
Systems Engineers (all disciplines) for long-term contract opportunities with our client supporting nuclear power plant evaluation, design, modification, and start-up projects in Middletown, Pennsylvania.

Local candidates preferred. Exceptional remote candidates will be considered, with some travel required.

Nuclear industry experience is required.

Responsibilities:

• Completes engineering projects by analyzing problems, organizing and controlling project elements.
• Evaluation of systems, testing, and definition of modification of existing power plant architecture, via walkdowns.
• Provides expert advice on design processes or construction methods.
• Formulates and directs investigations or prototype, model and system studies, analyzing and interpreting the data obtained and recommending practical application of results.
• Demonstrates ability to perform review of complex calculations, design deliverables.
• Analyzes problems, investigates and establishes general performance specifications for components, equipment, systems, processes., etc.
• Collaborates with team members on projects to determine priorities and implications on work of others.
• Provides effective solutions and defines appropriate deliverables that the client will need to solve the issue.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from ABET accredited school.
• 5+ years relevant work experience
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to systems engineering of nuclear power plants.
• Knowledge and implementation of client Engineering Change Control process of nuclear power generation utilities is considered an asset.
• Working knowledge of Nuclear Quality Assurance Standards.
