The Technical Product Engineer defines skills for formulating and defining system scope using information technology and industry knowledge/requirements, based on both user needs and a good understanding of information technology, business processes, and industry requirements.

The job responsibilities include:

  • Assisting, formulating, and defining systems scope and objectives to self-directed activities that result in enterprise improvements in business processes
  • Provide Product Owner/Business Unit support to resolve issues using extensive business / system knowledge.
  • Communicate incident status and lead issue resolution with Product Owners. Escalate incidents to Business and IT leadership where business process and extensive system expertise is required
  • Resolve application incidents and problems that require application code and/or operational modifications such as software issue resolution, training/documentation, and data challenges
  • Function as liaison between Product Owners and service providers to ensure functional specs are understood and are sufficient to develop application workloads
  • Analyze issues and provide enterprise solutions to meet the desired business outcomes through the use of IT
  • Perform scrum master tasks, understanding and documenting user stories to ensure agile practices meet business needs
  • Ensure knowledge transfer to the domain squads prior to system activation and plan and broadly communicate schedules
  • 12 months experience scheduling, planning, and implementing chaos testing experiments in AWS
  • Deep familiarity with SRE practices around setting SLOs, implementing observability practices, and assessing team maturity
  • Experience planning chaos implementations across AWS, OpenShift, and EC2 environments
  • Capable communicator with deep organizational skills

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience as a project manager, product owner or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.
  • Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from feasibility through to production.
  • Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
  • Strong written, oral communication, and social skills
  • Must have excellent planning and organizational skills, strong verbal, written communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
