Salary: Competitive
Job type: Part-Time

Job Description

Kroger is modernizing our central data engineering (ETL) space. One example of these changes involve moving from Informatica to Databricks. We seek two Product Managers to help drive this change. One PM will focus on engaging teams across Kroger that are supported by the existing ETL teams. This PM will help connect those teams to Product teams that can assist with modernization. The second PM will lead ETL agile teams. Both roles include driving strategy for the assigned areas, inspiring, guiding, setting objectives and key results (OKRs), and ensuring that the OKRs are achieved. PM will be a facilitator within a larger cross-functional team to solve business problems. PM should be able to work with significant autonomy and freedom, requiring little oversight. This autonomy, however, will be within a broader strategy set by executive leadership. PM will demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
• Exceptional communication, organization, and analytical skills
• Experience leading and managing a team with direct and indirect reports
• Some form of technical background (ex: software or data engineering)
• Ability to identify metrics and key performance measures and use data to drive decisions

Desired Previous Job Experience:
• 3+ years experience as a product manager, technical lead, engineering manager or architect.
• Since this Product Manager will be working directly with development teams, a background in software development is advantageous.
• Experience at a retailer or digital platform company
• Proven track record of conceiving and building platforms
• Experience with OKRs and iterative product development (Agile)
• Experience using GitHub, Atlassian, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud products

Key Responsibilities

• Create partnerships with teams supported by our ETL teams. Learn about their roadmaps and modernization efforts. Help guide these teams to work with our modernization teams.
• Provide leadership direction to direct and/or matrixed core team members, incorporating feedback from across all functions, product leadership, and company's senior leadership
