Technical Writer

6 month contract

100% in the office

$30+ DOE

The primary responsibility of this role is to create and revise QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) processes and procedures and ensure procedures accurately reflect department and company practices.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Write and edit technical documents including QHSE procedures, guidelines and work instructions consistent with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, relevant regulatory requirements, or equivalent.
• Determines the type of publication that will best serve the project requirements with respect to established document control parameters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback, process interactions, and incorporate revisions as necessary.
• Assesses the audience needs for whom the technical and procedural documentation is intended; adjusts tone and technical terms used to meet those needs and to ensure understanding.
• Plans writing processes and sets timelines and deadlines.
• Creates diagrams, process flowcharts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a process.
• Gathers feedback from customers, departments, and other interested parties to improve QHSE documents.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, or related field preferred.
• Three years of related experience required.
• Experience with Oracle Aconex preferred.
