Role Description:

The Technical Writer will be focused on editing and data entry/manipulation. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of experience and is very trainable and detail oriented.

Scope of Work Examples:

• System, process, and technical documentation; training materials, user guides, communications tables, forms, and flow-charts

• Coordinates review and editing of technical documentation

• Works in conjunction with a Global Procedures Library (GPL)

• Delivers written documentation, including technical specifications, procedures, user manuals and quick reference guides

• Coordinates grammatical, structural, and numbering review of technical documentation.

• Delivers written and electronic documentation, including documentation database content, and metadata tags, form creation, PDF output, and application-embedded online help

• Edits and revises requirements for systems documentation, analyzes existing documentation for potential gaps and connections across a large library of information

• Edits written material for grammar, clarity and audience comprehension

• Provides editorial review of existing documentation for correct structure and meta data completion

• Responds to general questions about language, writing and writing tools

• Supports project teams by developing sets of documentation

• Maintains policy compliance and branding requirements (e.g., copyright, trademark usage)

Qualifications/Skills:

• Technical Writer with (2-4) years of experience

• Must be proficient in Microsoft® Office Suite

• Must be detail oriented

• Associate degree or equivalent
